先週、韓国に夫と一緒に行きました。
ホテルが溜まったポイントで泊まれたので、格安航空券でリーズナブルに行きました。関西からは1時間半のフライトです。
夫は、韓国の時代劇のドラマが好き。そのロケ地で有名な全州にソウルから現地ツアーバスで行きました。 黒い瓦屋根と軒下のカラフルな絵模様がきれいな町でした。
全州はビビンバが発祥の地で、老舗のビビンバ専門店は現地の家族連れで賑わっていました。
ソウルでは、海鮮のチゲ鍋を食べました。
テーブルの上のチゲ鍋にたくさんの魚介類が入っていて、そこに生きたままのタコや伊勢エビを乗せて煮込むので、かわいそうすぎて食べるのがつらかったです。
でも気候もちょうど良く、楽しい韓国の旅でした。
韓国は、ハングル表記ばかりで、どこに行くのも、看板や駅名が読めず、大変でした。 Google翻訳とchatGPTのお世話になりました。
次回行くことがあれば、少しはハングル文字を読めるようにしたいと思います。
Last week, I traveled to South Korea with my husband.
Since we could stay at a hotel using saved points, we took a budget airline and made the trip quite affordable. It’s only a 1.5-hour flight from Kansai.
My husband loves Korean historical dramas, so we joined a local tour bus from Seoul to Jeonju, a town famous as a filming location.
It was a beautiful town with black-tiled roofs and colorful decorative patterns under the eaves.
Jeonju is the birthplace of bibimbap, and the long-established bibimbap restaurants were bustling with local families.
In Seoul, we had a seafood jjigae hot pot.
It was filled with various seafood, and live octopus and lobsters were added right into the boiling pot — it was almost too sad to eat.
Still, the weather was perfect, and we had a wonderful trip to Korea.
In Korea, everything is written in Hangul, so it was quite difficult to read signs or station names wherever we went.
I relied heavily on Google Translate and ChatGPT for help.
Next time I visit, I’d like to learn to read at least some Hangul characters.
